Dedication to service is a theme that runs through my life. In everything I do, I want to make the world a better place. Whether that be through my work as a musician, teacher, Realtor, or as a neighbor and a friend, my goal is to have an impact. Someday, I would love to help a child or teenager in need by becoming a foster parent. I care about mental health awareness and doing my part to help others who are struggling.
My passion for music has been a huge part of my life. I was just five years old when I started performing in children’s choir; I was soloing by age eight. Later, I went on to study the harp, earning my undergraduate, masters and performance diplomas in music with a focus on harp performance. As a professional musician for several years, I performed all over the world with various symphonies, as the lead harpist at the Drake Hotel, and in private residences in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and Gold Coast. I also served as the President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Harp Society, and am an Adjunct Professor of Harp at the VanderCook College of Music.
My other passion is real estate. Where you live is SO important to your well-being and happiness. Long before I became a Realtor, I helped friends and family find their perfect homes. I have always been a student of the market and learned to be patient and focus on what would best serve each person’s unique needs. I purchased my first home, a foreclosure, when I was just 27 years old. As a professional musician, it was a stretch, but I worked hard to make that happen and it is a great source of pride for me. Regardless of the size of your budget or if you are looking for a condo, house, or investment property, I care about your needs and put you first.
My choice to join Engel & Völkers was simple. It is a classy company with strong female mentors. As soon as I set foot in the Engel & Völkers elegant Chicago shop, I knew I had finally found the right fit. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best brokers in the city, throughout the country, and around the world.
While I enjoyed growing up in Royal Oak, Michigan, an idyllic community outside of Detroit, I knew at a young age that I was meant to live in a big city. I am thrilled to have called Chicago’s northside home for the last decade. I eat, live, and breathe the Edgewater Beach, Edgewater, Uptown, Andersonville, and Lakeview neighborhoods. In my free time, I bike along the lakefront, spend time in nature or with my niece, do yoga, meditate, read, write, visit museums, attend concerts, and hang out with my miniature schnoodles, Buck and Daisy. When I long to reconnect to my Michigan roots, I sneak away to our family vacation home in Traverse City where I kayak, hike, bike, frequent the area wineries, and recharge my proverbial batteries!
I am thankful for all the many blessings in my life, and so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of yours.
